David took a trip to Hurley's heroes, and suggests that everybody wear black to pick up their final DC comic books before the end.

John talks about Garth Ennis' The Boys, the hyper-violent first collection, Simon Pegg, and a hefty price-tag.

David brings us Fell: Feral City, a comic about Three's Company star Norman Fell. Not really, it's an odd cop caper by Warren Ellis.

Travis tells us all about Ultimate Spider-Man Volume 9, featuring the Ultimate Six, and snappy dialog from one Brian Michael Bendis.

Then the dorks talk about the saturation of comic book movies, and tangent into why David has a fear of Ewoks.

Finally, a simple overview of Stan Lee turns into an argument about the validity of comics as a form of literature.

Episode 1

Welcome to the Walking Dorks Podcast, where John Oliver, Travis Pyle, and J. David Weter talk comics.

For their first outing, the guys talk about the books that stood out in their piles for Free Comic Book Day, 2011.


John really feels drawn to Atomic Robo, while David gushes about Darkwing Duck, and Travis chooses Robert Kirkman's Super Dinosaur.

Then comes the big debate- single issues vs. Trade Paperbacks, with David in the single issue corner, and Travis in the trade corner, and John is Switzerland, with their knives, and bank accounts.


But, the guys remain tight enough to share their favorite memories of Free Comic Book day, 2011, and kick off a new era in comics podcasting.
